La
Rambla is a main boulevard beginning at the square,
Placa de Catalunya, heading directly down toward the sea.
This is always a bustling tree lined passage dotted with hotels, cafes, news stands, and restaurants. The word
rambla is derived from the Arabic word, "
ramla," which means
gully that runs by a riverbed.

Artists, street performers, and living statues beg for your attention as you navigate about all the activity...

As hip hop made its way to Barcelona, so did tagging. Stately old doors in the ancient part of the city are not exempt, as evidenced below...

Get lost and wander about in the oldest part of the city and you might come across a delightful surprise: "El
Futuro de Flamenco"...

The city is filled with a wonderful mix of the old and the new...there is inspiration everywhere you look...even a little mermaid has made her way up from "La
Mer" to become a visitor amidst the excitement of the street...

Beauty is everywhere! I can't wait to see what is up ahead...
Love,
Henri
